Expert, one-on-one coaching to help your student find their authentic voice and craft essays that make admissions officers take notice.
The college essay is one of the few parts of an application that is entirely within a student's control — and one of the most misunderstood. Our essay coaches work one-on-one with students to develop authentic, memorable essays that go beyond restating a résumé and reveal the person behind the transcript.
Every session is private, focused, and built around your student's own voice. We never write essays for students — we help them find what's already there and shape it into something compelling.
Creative exercises to uncover compelling topics and personal narratives that only your student can tell.
Expert framework for organizing ideas into a narrative arc that engages from the first sentence.
Both large-scale structural feedback and line-level edits to sharpen language, clarity, and impact.
Tailored guidance on school-specific "Why Us" and activity essays for every target school.
Final pass for concision, vocabulary, sentence variety, and submission-ready flawlessness.
We coach, never ghostwrite. Every essay sounds authentically like your student — not a template.
Every student moves through the same structured process — adapted to their pace and needs — designed to produce a finished essay that is authentic, polished, and genuinely memorable.
Explore experiences, values, and goals to identify compelling essay topics unique to your student.
Build an outline, reach for deeper insights, and shape a draft that grabs the reader's attention.
Receive detailed feedback and polish the essay line by line until it is fully submission-ready.
Our 5-session program is the most comprehensive option and takes a student from blank page to polished final draft. Fewer sessions focus on the highest-priority essays for your student's specific school list.
Work through creative exercises to surface compelling topics. Review sample essays and identify the elements that make college essays stand out. Leave with a clear direction for your personal statement.
Review early writing from Session 1. Identify and collate the strongest insights into a complete framework for the final essay. Assess any completed paragraphs for descriptive and analytical depth.
Refine transitions, clarify context, and enhance language with vivid, specific details. Identify areas where deeper connections and insights could help the writing stand out from the crowd.
Work through the essay line by line. Address any length requirement edits. Maximize the impact of the opening hook and the conclusion. Ensure every sentence earns its place.
Review and polish the final draft. Confirm that vocabulary, sentence structure, and voice have been achieved for maximum effectiveness. Proofread for concision, clarity, and flawlessness — ready to submit.

"Our son had no idea what to write about — he kept saying 'nothing interesting has happened to me.' After the first session, his coach helped him find a story that was so uniquely him. The finished essay brought tears to my eyes. He got into his top choice."
Our essay program is designed for high school juniors and seniors who are beginning or mid-way through the application process. It's especially valuable for students who feel stuck on what to write, students who have a draft that isn't quite working, and students who want expert feedback before submitting to their target schools.
Students who have already completed our College Admissions Counseling program can use essay sessions as a focused add-on for personal statement and supplemental development.
It depends on where your student is in the process and how many essays they need to complete. A single session works well for a student who has a strong draft and needs a focused review. The 5-session package is ideal for students starting from scratch or working on multiple essays. If you're unsure, start with 2–3 sessions — additional sessions can always be added.
Never. Our coaches guide, prompt, and refine — but every word in the final essay belongs to your student. Authenticity is what makes a college essay work, and admissions officers are experienced at detecting essays that don't sound like the student who wrote the rest of the application.
Yes. Sessions can be allocated to the personal statement, supplemental essays, or any combination. During your intake call, your coach will help prioritize based on your student's school list and deadlines.
Both options are available. Sessions can be held in person at our Mamaroneck office or via video — same quality and approach either way. Many students find the focused environment of in-person sessions helpful early in the process and switch to remote as the essay takes shape.
Ideally, begin essay work in the spring of junior year or over the summer before senior year. This gives the most time to develop ideas without the pressure of application deadlines. That said, we work with students at all stages — even those with essays due in the coming weeks.
Yes. Additional sessions can be registered at any time. Many students who start with a smaller package add sessions once they see the progress — especially when working on supplemental essays for multiple schools.
